Trend Report: Maxi Dresses

The long dress isn't for grandmothers and pregnant women anymore.A flowy dress is perfect for summer.Keep in mind that the maxi dress isn't for the short and petite. Some ladies i.e Nicole Richie have pulled off.Try it at your own risk(of looking like your dress swallowed you).I LOVE the patterned dress and the ones with small detailing below the bust or at the hem.Look for a dress with shape,so you can avoid the travesty of wearing a potato sack.

Urban Outfitters has this gorgeous white jersey maxi dress for $78
Forever 21 has this floral maxi for $27!

They also have this tribal inspired print maxi for $27!

L-R Paris Hilton,Miley Cyrus,Tori Spelling,Carrie Underwood and Rachel Bilson.
Happy Shopping!

Fierce or Mediocre?

Project Runway's Season Four winner-Christian Siriano line is available on Bluefly.com.So far these are the pieces in his online collection:

The black cotton 'Posh' puff sleeve blouse $590

The black cotton sateen 'Motocross' skinny pants $280

The gold silk 'Red Carpet' shift dress $325
OK,I'm not surprised that his clothes are expensive but are they worth it?I love Christian! He's fierce but this collection doesn't show the talent he had on Project Runway.
What do you think-Fierce OR Mediocre?

Hmmm... for giggles check out the hilarous SNL parody of Mr.FierceTranny himself:

Craving denim

Former O.C star&Current actress?.. Mischa Barton
The new issue of NYLON magazine is out and it's a special treat for denim lovers. If you have seven or more pairs of jeans, you're a denim lover.Of course, there's more to denim than jeans. There's the denim vest, jacket, skirt, shorts, cuffs and so much more.
The issue is jam packed with DIY articles, funky editorials and the latest set of hipsters on the indie rock circuit.
I got my issue in the mail on Monday,I must say it's a page turner.
The interview with Mischa is a must read!
Here's an excerpt:
On education: "I would want to go to college for the learning, but there's so much else that comes with that that I don't think I need anymore. I've been making my own money and living as an adult for far too long."

Would you wear these trends?

Clear Sunglasses
(from L-R Kirsten Dunst,Ashlee Simpson&Sienna Miller)

Leather Miniskirts
(from L-R Selita Ebanks, Ashley Olsen and Nicky Hilton) revive the '80s staple.

Bright Jackets
(from L-R Rihanna,Katherine Heigl&Kim Kardashian).

Double Strand Pearls
(from L-R Ashlee Simpson, Sarah Jessica Parker and Gwyneth Paltrow).

I would wear a leather miniskirt a la Nicky Hilton.I've always worn the double strand necklace so that's a given. The bright jackets scream spring to me.You won't see me in clear sunglasses...EVER!

Get Inspired by...

by Miss Winehouse.A talented artist, but a trainwreck nonetheless.

Amy Winehouse soothes millions with her 60s girl group voice. And she manages to keep tabloids gossip aflow by her crazy antics & known addictions.Vogue Paris[Magazine] did a lovely shoot with model Isabeli Fontana& photog Peter Lindbergh.

Spain is calling my name..

Excuse the corny post title.
HAHA!
Take a gander at these fashionable Iziba residents.

I've noticed a theme with Iziba style...it's laid back, casual&simple;yet,it makes a big impression. It turns your heads, maybe it's a persons' attitude and vibe that makes an outfit.Remember, style is effortless.
